Summer console games

Summer is all about the big summer blockbuster releases and if you’re a console gamer, whether you’re a Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo fan, there are games that will keep you entertained throughout. So, if you’re ready to start gaming, here are four of the hottest summer console games you need to play!

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (PlayStation 4)

Return back to the world of Uncharted with this massive DLC from Naughty Dog. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy continues the famed developer’s tradition of delivering high-octane action and blockbuster moments with characters that you’ll fall in love with.

Explore the western ghats of India with fan-favorite Chloe Frazier as she makes an unlikely partnership with mercenary Nadine Ross as they try to retrieve the Tusk of Ganesha from the warlord Asav.

Splatoon 2 (Nintendo Switch)

Nintendo’s squid-centric third person shooter makes a huge debut on the Switch when it was released on July 21st. With improved mechanics, graphics, and new modes, the jump from Wii U to the Switch was enough to make it as one of Nintendo’s successful releases in July this year.

Those who played Splatoon before can expect plenty of squid-tacular moments, such as the recent “Mayo vs Ketchup” Ink Fest, which was a huge hit among players.

Agents of Mayhem (PlayStation 4 / Xbox One)

If you have always wondered what it would be like to play as a member of the GI Joes, then you should definitely try out Agents of Mayhem by Saint’s Row developer Volition. Taking place in a futuristic South Korea, you control a group of super powered agents who are tasked with taking down the evil organization known as L.E.G.I.O.N.

Volition brought its signature open-world designs to Agents of Mayhem so you can expect weird and crazy weapons, wacky missions, and plenty of memorable characters.

Destiny 2 (PlayStation 4 / Xbox One)

The sequel to Bungie’s Shared World Shooter is shaping up to be its biggest yet with Activision claiming that Destiny 2 received more pre-orders than its previous iteration. Come September 6th, Guardians will once again return to the world of Destiny to face the menacing Ghaul and his Red Legion.

This time around, players can expect an extensive campaign, revamped shooting mechanics, and improved graphics as they explore every inch that Destiny 2 has to offer on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PC players will jump in the fray come October 24.

Whether it’ll be shooting aliens in the face in Destiny 2, facing off fellow Inklings in Splatoon 2, or just living out your GI Joe fantasies in Agents of Mayhem, there are plenty of great summer games to keep you gaming on your favorite console.
